STRAW MARQUETRY

STRAW MARQUETRY is a technique that replaces hard wood or stones with a simple material that, when worked, is transformed into something rich, LUXURY and EXCLUSIVE. Straw is a simple but powerful material that has a natural silica varnish that makes it reflect light like no other lacquer. The applied geometric designs create a play with the light that confers an unmatched, fine and silky beauty that invites you to touch. Since the 17th century there is evidence of this technique brought to Europe from the east.
